Graduation gowns

All graduating Bendigo TAFE students are required to wear academic regalia which will be available on the day of the ceremony. If you’re a diploma or advanced diploma student you’ll also wear a stole that will be determined by the level of award you are receiving.

You’ll be asked to choose your gown size when you register your attendance online. The gown size is determined by your height and is intended to be loose fitting.

The cost of academic dress hire is built into your graduation fee.

All graduation gowns and regalia must be returned prior to leaving the event.

Dress Code

The Graduation and Awards Ceremony is a formal event and both graduates and guests are expected to dress appropriately.

Please wear smart casual attire under your gown (thongs, sandals, t-shirts or casual wear are not acceptable).

Please take into account that the gowns are black and when worn, open at the front and expose the lower arms. Appropriate footwear is a must as you will need to walk up and down stairs. If you would like to wear traditional dress under your gown you are more than welcome to.

You may leave your coat with us in the gowning area. No valuables are to be left behind. Bendigo TAFE does not accept responsibility for loss of property.
