Children
Children are welcome to attend the event. Children under 5 years are complimentary. Any children 5 years and over MUST have a ticket.

Special needs 
  • If you or your guests have any special requirements, i.e. disability assistance, seating with a space for baby strollers, please let us know when applying online. You may be asked to arrive earlier so that we can accommodate your request.

Award winners
If you’re an award winner you’ll be notified by mail prior to the ceremony. If you’re also graduating on the day you will be asked to return to the stage to receive your award. Our staff will be on hand to help you on the day.

Dual qualifications
If you’re graduating with more than one qualification you’ll only need to walk across the stage once. You will be acknowledged for both achievements at once.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will I receive my certificate at the Graduation and Awards Ceremony? No. You will receive your certificate and academic transcript within 30 days of completing your training. 

What should I do if I am ineligible to graduate? 
You need to contact your teaching coordinator. 

What are the closing dates for applying to graduate? 
The closing date to register your attendance for the graduation ceremony is Monday 30 January 2017

How long is the graduation ceremony? 
The graduation ceremony will last approximately 1.5 hours depending on the number of graduates. 

When do I receive my tickets for the graduation ceremony?
You will be automatically emailed a ticket receipt for tickets purchased when you register your attendance online. Please print this and bring it with you on the night.

Am I allowed to bring children? 
  • Children are welcome to attend the Graduation and Awards Ceremony.
  • Children over the age of five must occupy their own seat and count as a guest for ticketing. 
  • Children must also be supervised by an adult at all times. Please remember this is a formal event and all guests including children are expected to act in an appropriate manner.  
  • Please note that graduating students will not be sitting with their guests. 

During the graduation ceremony, where will I be sitting?
All graduates will be sitting in reserved allocated seating at the front of the stage. Once the procession has been completed, graduates will return to their allocated seats. You will not be sitting with your family and friends; we ask that you remain seated until the conclusion of the ceremony. 

Graduation Day: What do I have to do when I arrive at the venue?
1.) Register your arrival at the registration desk 
2.) Collect Your gown/stole 
3.) You will then be free to have photos taken or meet with family and friends until 30 minutes before the ceremony. This is when you must be seated in your allocated seat. 
4.) Guest seating will commence 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony. 

Can I leave once my name has been called to the stage? 
No. It is disruptive and disrespectful to other graduates. 

Once you have been called to the stage and been handed your scroll you must return to your allocated seat. 

You are required to stay until the ceremony has been completed. Support your fellow graduates. 

Am I allowed to take photographs or videos of the ceremony?
Family and friends are more than welcome to take photos and or videos of the ceremony; you must remain seated at all times. There will be a professional photographer available before and after the ceremony – this is an optional service and a fee will apply. 

Can I keep the gown and stole?
No. The graduation gown and stole have been hired for the duration of graduation only and must be returned after the ceremony. 

You will be billed for any unreturned items.

Can I keep the trencher?
Yes. The trencher is yours to keep.

Will there be food?
Yes. There will be light canapés served from 6.00pm-7.00pm however we recommend you eat before the event or you will be hungry.

Will alcohol be available?
There will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase over the bar.
